…This is for those who follow a path without a blueprint.

How can you have one big goal or vision when you have multiple interests, multiple passions, and multiple callings? This is the dilemma faced by multi-passionates who have big dreams in many different mediums.

How do you even set a goal or have a dream for your life when you see multiple dreams?

…This is for those who follow a path without a blueprint.

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” — Albert Einstein

Well, we’re the fish 🥹

Some of the unhappiest people I have met in my life are highly ambitious multi-passionates.

Why?…

Because they know they have massive potential but they’re completely stuck.

I’ve been there for long periods throughout my life.

Like the fish, we are judged by our ability to fit into specialist social programming and conventional wisdom.

Then we judge and shame ourselves on our horrible tree-climbing skills instead of channelling our energies on our beautiful swimming skills with multiple types!

Having the desire, and the ability, but lacking the clarity to take action is one of life’s cruellest ironies.

Multi-passionates often believe they are lazy —or broken —or both!!!

But it’s not motivation they are lacking; it’s clarity.

…and acceptance.

Every multi-passionate wants purpose and meaning.

But the fear of the uncertain, of the unknown, is holding you back.

Let’s tackle that monster called “Fear”…

Fear cannot exist without your input, your engagement, your permission, your mental entertainment or your allowance.

You feed it….It is unconscious….It cannot exist without you.

If you choose not to interact or engage with it, it weakens. You’re the one keeping it alive to control you.

All that passion, potential, and desire is in you, I know you feel it, but fear is weighing it down.

There are many amazing doors open and waiting for you. But you have to choose the door you walk through. And if the only door you’ve known is fear, then my darling, you’ll stay right where you are and forget you could’ve chosen all together.

You’ve had so many fears and problems that you once thought you would never get over that do not even pass through your mind today. All the things you once obsessed over you thought about them one day for the very last time and you didn’t even know it was the last. And you were able to do that because you kept going.

That is your living, breathing, personal portfolio of proof that you can get through any other fear too!

So you can start anything you want to start, change, learn, and reinterpret your failures and stumbles as a fresh slate. It doesn’t mean you’re not afraid, but it means you’re going to choose to make something of the fear because it’s inevitable. We’re human…

It’s what you do with it. It starts small.

Afraid, but never a coward

Motion begets Motion.

Move yourself out of the illusion of fear and being stuck and back to the actual rhythm of existing.

All life is waiting for you to do is to reengage, to live and to see that the people, things and opportunities you are waiting for are already around you, waiting for you to just start.

When you feel like you have multiple passions living in you it is a scary journey because you feel like you do not have a blueprint, a map to follow. It’s just you, and your many dreams, callings and potentials.

You are unlike this world because your purpose is not to adapt, but to carve out your own universe within it. To just be, to live, and experience life as the full expression of your being and your becoming.

The things that pose the hardest challenges to you are also the ones you are most meant to overcome. And so every single time you think you are running up against a wall, hitting it again and again, thinking you’ll never see the other side, remember that your job is not to push through, but actually to pioneer a new way around. To find a new route to the other side, and then to go there and exist wonderfully there.

Because the things you struggle with most are the ones you are here to master. The things you don’t have and badly want are the mountains you are called to climb and the trail you leave behind in your own pursuit of a life of multiple passions will inevitably become the guideline you give to other people to do the same, whether you realize you’re doing it or not.

And that is how pain, fear and passion become purpose.

Following a singular passion is clearly not going to work for people with multiple passions.

Picking something we love is easy. Picking something we’re good at is also easy. All these frameworks and structures work for specialists — and not generalists.

It works for people that have a solo passion and a limited skill set which means it’s easy to “pick one thing and focus on it.”

It’s a conventional strategy. It works for conventional people.

But we are unconventional people. We need unconventional strategies.

I now have purpose and meaning in my life. But I didn’t find it. Balancing all these multiple passions, dreams, callings and potentials has been a hell of a ride. I had to find acceptance and self-love. I didn’t stumble across it one random day.

I built it, I created it.
