The Routine to Greatness: A No-Nonsense Guide (The Final Part)

We did it! We embarked on this wild ride together three weeks ago and we are now in the final chapter! Remember back in Week 1, how this all started, with raw dissatisfaction? Then we unearthed our “why’s”, (the REAL ones), and moved into Week 2 with a transformative deep dive of self-discovery, confronting limiting beliefs and crafting a magnificent vision – our “Final Forms.”

This wasn’t just any series – it’s been an honour sharing this journey with you. As someone who’s walked this path too, I’ve poured my heart, experiences and every hard-won lesson learned into these guides. And let me tell you, the best part is just beginning! I am so excited to see how life becomes amazing for you.

By the end of this week, you’ll have a clear roadmap to achieving the life that you desire. You’ll be armed with an action plan. You’ll know how to set unshakeable standards, craft a routine that empowers you, and take consistent action towards your vision.

Now, let’s conquer these final two steps together:

STEP 5: Set the Standards for Your Life

Now that you’ve envisioned your Final Form, this next part might seem like a breeze. But here’s where many stumble. They dive headfirst into work, the gym, and goal-chasing – all without a crucial foundation.

Before you launch yourself into action, let’s talk about the single most important factor in staying on track: your standards. They’re the architects of your habits. Think of them as the bar you set for yourself – the minimum you’ll accept in any area of your life, be it career, relationships, health, or mental well-being.

You need a clear vision of “this is what I expect” for each aspect of your life. Your standards will dictate the daily habits you cultivate to meet them, ultimately propelling you toward your goals.

Remember, everything starts with you. A shift in mindset triggers a shift in standards, which then impacts your habits. You simply won’t tolerate things that don’t align with your desired reality.

Feeling me? So, ask yourself: what’s the bare minimum you accept in your appearance, finances, work ethic, discipline, and consistency? What standards have you set for yourself?


STEP 6: Craft your Final Form Routine

Alright, you have done great so far getting here. I am so proud of you! Your journey to greatness ends here, in developing your final form routine. Remember developing the vision of your final form? The one you crafted in vivid detail – the embodiment of your ultimate success? Now, get ready to turn that vision into a tangible reality. We’ll create a daily routine that reflects that Final Form – not your current reality, but your destiny!

Imagine your ideal week: Map out your ideal schedule, Monday through Sunday. Be as detailed as possible!

Remember, this isn’t about perfection, it’s about inspiration. You might not be able to afford a personal trainer right now, but your Final Form routine might include a daily morning workout. Can’t afford a fancy co-working space yet? Your Final Form might include setting up a dedicated workspace at home to maximize your focus.

Start with what you have, and bridge the gap:

The key is to take consistent action, no matter how small, to move closer to your Final Form routine. Every step, every action, becomes a building block towards your ultimate success.

You are the sum of your routines and habits. This is what keeps you consistent, this is what keeps you disciplined. And we all know the quote right? consistency will outperform talent any single day. I want you to get to that stage, taking one step every day, doing one thing that will change your life. That’s all you need, consistency and discipline and that comes from knowing what you are doing Monday to Sunday, at every particular point in time.

Greatness isn’t about magical moments or strokes of luck. It’s about the consistent effort of building and following routines and habits that propel you forward, even when they feel challenging.

F.M. Alexander hits the nail on the head about routines:

“Success is accomplished by habitually doing things that people who have never succeeded find difficult to do.”

And there you have it! The routine to greatness is all about giving your absolute all to your goals, aspirations, and lifestyle.

You MUST become obsessed and dedicated to building the life you love.

You CANNOT make excuses and be lazy.

You NEED to operate with uninterrupted focus and prioritise internal growth.

Transforming your life is like navigating a complex system – there will be obstacles, adjustments, and unexpected detours. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. So, be patient with yourself, celebrate the small victories, and trust the process.
