Postcards from Beirut 🇱🇧

I’ve always been a bit of a homebody. Even more so in the last 2 years. My comfort zone is a cosy little bubble that I am always reluctant to burst. But sometimes, the most extraordinary experiences happen when you step outside of that bubble. And that’s exactly what I did when I decided to take a trip to Beirut.

It was a spontaneous decision, a crazy idea that I didn’t think I would have the balls to follow through but I have had this tug for a while to experience something new. I had little to no idea what to expect, but I was filled with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Western media did not help in any way.

I couldn’t have imagined a more fun, light and interesting week!

Beirut has my heart! It’s ancient history mixed with modern culture, I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the stunning architecture. As a cloud chaser, the views are something else (the sunsets…omg!) and the city knows how to party! One of the most rewarding aspects of my trip was the people I met, they made this trip one I won’t forget.

Stepping outside of my comfort zone was a tad bit challenging at times, but it was also incredibly liberating. I tried new foods, danced to Lebanese music(which bangs btw!), and even jumped off a cliff (Yeah, literally…I went paragliding).

I had an incredible time! It has shown me that there is so much more to see, do, and experience. And I’m determined to make the most of it.

It’s forced me to strictly make plans to travel at least once a year. I’m also considering working remotely in another country for a month or two. The world is my oyster, and I’m eager to explore as much of it as I can.

Beirut was just the beginning of my journey of self-discovery. I’m excited to see where my adventures will take me next.
