January Favs
My favourite series is BACK!!!! ✨🧡💫
Hello, my loves, and welcome to February!
January felt long—like a whole year packed into one month. I hit the ground running, and while the last few days flew by, the rest of it?…🥹… I don’t know if it’s just me, but my year never really starts the way I imagine. There’s always so much hope and big ideas, yet my actions somehow struggle to keep pace with my expectations.
Every year, I know exactly what I want to focus on—yet somehow, God always tests me in that exact area. You can’t ask for a great company without being tested on leadership. You can’t pray for exponential transformation—to become a woman of wisdom, power, and purpose—without your limits being stretched. And that? That was my January. I asked the universe to transform me, and it delivered. Tests, challenges, obstacles—some I passed, some… yeah, let’s try again lol!
One thing I keep reminding myself is that this is a year-long race. We don’t start a run at our best pace, but if we keep going, we’ll find our rhythm. So, the key thing here is to keep going. Just keep running.
💭So, that’s how I’d define January—the start of the race: stumbling, finding my footing, building momentum, and setting the pace.
Now, without further ado, let’s get into it—January Favs: an almanack of everything that kept me going this month!
A Book I Read:
The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea
By Bob Burg & John David Mann
The Go-Giver is an absolutely stellar book—a must-read for everyone! I finished it feeling so inspired that I immediately started making notes on how to imbibe the go-giver life.
What makes this book so powerful is its refreshing approach to success—focusing on giving and providing value rather than just striving to get ahead. It follows Joe, an ambitious salesman who finds himself in dire straits after a deal he was counting on falls through.
Through what feels like divine intervention, Joe meets Bob, who teaches him an unconventional path to success: give away what you are best at instead of focusing solely on what you want from others. Bob introduces him to a series of mentors, each demonstrating one of the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success:
The Five Laws of Stratospheric Success:
🔹 The Law of Value: Your true worth is determined by how much more you give in value than you take in payment.
🔹 The Law of Compensation: Your income is determined by how many people you serve and how well you serve them.
🔹 The Law of Influence: Your influence grows when you abundantly place other people’s interests first.
🔹 The Law of Authenticity: The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.
🔹 The Law of Receptivity: The key to effective giving is staying open to receiving.
If I had to describe The Go-Giver in one line? It’s a book that teaches you how to be a better person.
I know that may sound strong, but it’s true.
This book left a mark on me, and I know it will on you too. If you read The Go-Giver, let’s talk about it! I’d love to hear your thoughts.
A Supplement I Swear By:
Ginko Biloba
I genuinely love Ginkgo Biloba—it’s been a total game-changer for me, especially on those packed workdays when I need to stay sharp. It enhances mental clarity, sharpens memory, and keeps me energized—even when my schedule is insane. This herbal supplement, made from the leaves of the ancient Ginkgo tree, has been known for centuries for its incredible benefits, and honestly, I get why.
For me, it’s been a huge help in keeping me focused, as someone who has like 200 projects in her head, I am more mentally clear, and it improves my memory. It also supports blood circulation, which gives me that extra boost of energy and helps keep mental fatigue at bay.
If you’re working hard and need something to keep your brain in top shape, I highly recommend giving it a try!
A Podcast That Resonated With Me:
I couldn’t decide on which one resonated most :)
A Netflix Documentary That Shocked Me:
Kings of Tupelo: A Southern Crime Saga
This is hands down the most fascinating doc I’ve seen in a while. It has that same chaotic energy as Tiger King (2020)—full of bizarre, over-the-top characters and a story that feels almost too wild to be real. I was hooked from the first episode and binged it in a day. At first, I was thinking, what the hell am I watching? But by the end, I was fully invested.
Basically, this documentary is about Kevin—an Elvis impersonator whose work dries up, so he takes a janitor job. One day, he stumbles upon a severed head, which convinces him that human body parts are being trafficked. Before long, he gets mixed up in a plot to send ricin to the President. I mean… what?! You just have to watch this! Everyone in the documentary is stark raving mad, hilarious and you just can’t help but marvel at their weirdness.
Absolutely bonkers, but ridiculously entertaining. Have you watched it?
Honourable Mention: Sweet Bobby My Catfish Nightmare
As the saying goes, if something seems too good to be true, it probably is—but try telling that to someone who believes they’re in love. Kirat falls for a man named Bobby, who appears to have a glamorous, jet-set lifestyle. But their relationship remained entirely online for years, with every planned meeting cancelled for one reason or another. Mixed in with feelings from a bad breakup, she finds solace in a Facebook friend—someone seemingly safe, connected to family members who know him. But as their relationship deepens, like any story of abuse, she becomes entangled in a web that’s nearly impossible to escape. And then, her world is completely shattered when she realises she’s been catfished.
And the real shocker? When you finally find out who the catfish was… I screamed!
Have you watched this?
A Quote That Got Me Through The Month:
Our nervous system will always choose a familiar hell over an unfamiliar heaven. You have to be conscious. We are our own demons.
Your mind doesn’t always have your best interests at heart, even when it seems like it does. You’re holding on to an identity built around negativity, settling comfortably into a victim mentality.
Stay with me—your core beliefs and subconscious thoughts are running the show. Recognize them. Reframe them. Because until you do, you’ll stay trapped.
The only way out was never outside—it was always within.
The life you’re living isn’t happening to you. It’s happening from you.
Is this the life you want?
Character development will change everything. Learning to deal with yourself is the key.

An App I Am Currently Loving:
Dimensional
This is not a sponsored post—I’ve just used and thoroughly enjoyed this app.
Dimensional is amazing!!! Great job to whoever made this! Honestly, the best personality app everrrrr! It completely exceeded my expectations. I love the aesthetic, the quiz durations are perfect, and I just want to keep learning more about myself. I also need everyone to download it so I can learn about them too!
The results? Scary accurate. The quizzes? Super engaging. The stories? A fun way to share about yourself. I can’t wait to add more people and compare our similarities and differences.
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, get to know yourself a little better. I promise—you’ve got more dimensions than you think!
Favourite Restaurant
Chairo Caffee, Lekki, Lagos.
If you put my face on anything, trust and believe you will be spotlighted. Honestly have to give them that. Great space too, I just wish they had more on their menu. Also, ask for their “Pizza in a Cone”, the pepperoni one!!!…amazing!

…I blast this loudly daily! No, because it’s me and God this year!
What did January Teach Me?
- Don’t be scared of being triggered. Eventually, you realize the best way to deal with everything is to face everything. Rewire your brain to welcome triggers with excitement. They can be reflections of where you need to grow, but they can also be signals of your boundaries—what you will and won’t allow. Acknowledging and learning from your triggers shouldn’t scare you; it’s the only way to see what needs healing. It gives you a chance to learn who you are at the core. And once you take control of your triggers, other people lose control over you. Now you have the buttons, so no one can push them. Self-analysis. Self-honesty. It’s all growth. Perspective is everything.
- Answered prayers come in the form of preparation. Tests, challenges, and obstacles show up to see if you can steward the blessing you prayed for. Be discerning, and be thankful when they come. It will hurt, but you need to be pruned to blossom.
- Allow people to be who they are. You cannot change people. Not only is it selfish, but it’s also an effort in futility. Know who you are, go where aligns, and let people be who they are. Your only choice is whether you want to be there or not.
- There’s a difference between being alone and being lonely.
- Hard work alone doesn’t equate to success. Smart choices about what you prioritise account for 99% of the difference. It’s what you know and who you know. And that gap? It’s often bridged by people who genuinely want to help others succeed. So, long story short—NETWORK.
- Your deepest wisdom is your unfair advantage. The mindset you have. The belief system life forced you to develop. The person you became because of the good and bad you’ve experienced. Your unique view of the world. That’s your unfair advantage.
- Feeling sorry for yourself is a waste of time. No one is exempt from pain, loss, disappointment, or sorrow. Being sad occasionally is normal and healthy. But dwelling on your misfortunes? That’s self-destruction. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Thinking others have it better is unhealthy and time-consuming. It’s also not easy—it invites loneliness, anger, and resentment. Once you start feeling like a victim, you start behaving like one.
- Being truly yourself and knowing what you want is rare. Having a strong conviction is something, not many people understand or relate to.
- Authors don’t get ideas without inspiration. Your dreams, your wants, your standards, your desires—they are not far-fetched for the mere fact that you dream them!
- We don’t get to choose who we are—we only get to discover who we are.
February Intentions
February is my new year.
I honestly think January is just a free trial. In February, we recalibrate the lessons, assess the test results from January, and press forward with more realistic expectations. January always signals what’s to come, but February? It’s head-down season. It’s cocoon season.
My intention is to selfishly fill my cup and give only from the overflow. To let people… just be, and to remain receptive to the world around me. February will be a month of deeper self-discovery. I’ve uncovered new areas of compromise and weaknesses I want to work on, but to improve, I must first identify the root.
February is about moving slowly. My dreams this year are big, so I know the tests, challenges, and obstacles are coming. I want to be discerning, learn from them, overcome them, and emerge better than before. In February, I’m determined to come out an A+ student. 😊
Happy New Month!
My loves, as you step into this new month, I pray over you with the fullness of my heart. February will be a month of divine acceleration, open doors, and undeniable success for you!
Your name and your work will be mentioned in rooms of influence.
You will rise into new dimensions of greatness, and doors that seemed impossible will swing open for you.
Every delay you have faced will turn into rapid acceleration—what should take years will happen in months.
Everything is aligning for your good, and this month will be a major turning point in your journey. Go and dominate my babies! February is yours! 🧡✨💫
