February Favs

Welcome to March! How did February treat you? For me, it was a month of profound self-discovery and growth. It was the month I started building on consistency and discipline, and I learned that it starts with a lot of inner work. It was when I fully understood who I am, what I want, and what I want to be. I gained clarity on my identity, desires, and aspirations. I started to see where I was headed, my life began to align, and I have a sense of purpose and fulfilment. It feels great.

Here are a few things I loved last month:

A Book I Read - The Midnight Library

“The Midnight Library” follows Nora, a woman battling depression, who ultimately decides to take her own life. Upon her tragic decision, she finds herself in the Midnight Library, a surreal place filled with books representing the various lives she could have lived. Guided by a librarian, Nora is tasked with choosing a new life that will make her happy, and a life that includes all her desires.

So Nora explores these alternate realities, all the lives she could have lived. The book illustrates the profound impact of our choices. How our biggest regrets look like in hindsight. This book made me cry, one thing it taught me is we are all yearning for situations, circumstances and wishes that we might actually hate when we get them. That as long as you are here, you have potential. Your life can be anything you want. Also, every single choice we make can alter our lives in immense ways. Be intentional about the choices you make, but when you make them, accept them.

A supplement I swear by - Bitter Leaf Water

As unpleasant as it tastes I call this “liquid crack” for a reason! Bitter leaf water is super healthy and medicinal.

  1. Aids in weight loss
  2. Lowers high blood pressure
  3. Your skin will GLOW
  4. Improved gut health
  5. It boosts your immune system.

It is my all-time fav sleeping pill also. Works every single time!

A podcast that resonated with me - “How to make peace with lost time”

Sometimes, we waste time. Sometimes, we make choices that derail our best plans and we wish we could have a do-over. Sadly, even when we get a second chance, we never get our time back. That ends up leading to unfulfilled desires which leads to disappointment of a dream unfulfilled. It’s not just the disappointment, it’s the regret. Saying things like “I wish I had…”

It can be hard to create a new vision when the vision we had did not come together. It is hard to adjust when you have your heart set on something in a specific way or at a specific time. It hits you so hard, but you have to learn to make peace with lost time.

Have you ever hit the hard wall of reality when you realize that you will never get that time back? Time wasted, time that you could have done something differently, that you could have pursued the thing you really wanted and you didn’t.

The experience of missing your window of opportunity, falling behind, or regretting decisions can create an anxiety that unconsciously rules your relationship with time.

Thinking about the fact that you lost time lets you value it more deeply and helps make you make more intentional future decisions.

Stop looking back…turn around and face forward.

  1. Forgive yourself

  2. Have some self-compassion. If someone came to you with the same feeling you had, what would you say to them? Be kind and gentle to yourself.

  3. Gratitude, be grateful for the time you have now.

  4. Reimagine the vision.

  5. Make peace with everything

A Netflix Documentary that shocked me - American Nightmare

This documentary had me on the edge of my seat! So, long story short, we have the kidnapping of Denise Huskins from the home she shared with her boyfriend Aaron Quinn in California and the story is so unbelievable that the police department and the FBI assumed the kidnapping was a hoax staged by Huskins and Quinn. You have to watch it to see how it all plays out!

A Quote that got me through the month

Reprogram your mind’s default settings: it may resist effort, shirk from fear, doubt, and the whims of ‘not feeling like it’. But in pushing through, you forge a path to true resilience and boundless achievement.

The article I am most proud of - You’re not crazy, you’re just first

This piece was deeply emotional for me, as it was a conversation with myself. I am incredibly proud of the journey it represents.

My best buy - Earrings from Zizi Flair

These earrings are it! Shopped the set and I don’t regret it!

It’s like the theme song to my life, a vulnerable exploration 🧡

What did February Teach Me?

  1. I’ve come to realize that within each of us lies the entirety of what we need. Every facet of our existence, from the circumstances of our birth to the dynamics of our family, our physical attributes, and even the sound of our voice, is meticulously crafted to serve a singular goal, a specific purpose, a destined moment.

  2. I learned that having the right people around you can considerably change your life

  3. I have come to be selfish, incredibly selfish with my time. I have come to be addicted, heavily to spending time with myself and the people I love. Emphasis on “love”. When I do not give myself enough quality time in the day I start to lose it. I’ll just run from everybody. I am clingy with myself. That shit is top-tier!

  4. I am starting to care less and less about what people think. I do not even add that to my mental catalogue anymore. It creeps in once in a while, but my brain is too full of routines, books, plans and work to do for me to spend too much time pondering about it. That’s a great thing.

  5. Limiting beliefs is slowly becoming a thing of the past. I know now that I can accomplish anything. I know now that I am the creator of my own universe. There is nothing I cannot desire that cannot be mine. I am the creator of my life.

March Intentions

For this month, I am focusing on finishing the goals set out in my 12-week year. I have targets to meet, clients to acquire, and money to make. I am going to be more cut-throat with my weekly goals and intentions and I am going to put myself out there more. I want to build my brand, build my business, build my personal life and also now fine-tune who I am to fit my inner being and where she is headed.

I am carrying into March this peace of mind, I am carrying this acceptance and detachment. To never try to change things, to learn, evolve, and accept what every new day brings. I cannot change today, it has already happened. But from today, I make the future. So I plan to make very intentional choices. To think of every single choice I am making.

I am carrying the good, I am leaving the bad and I am improving on the potential. I am fucking unstoppable.
